Human resource
Oil on canvas
155 × 100 cmHuman Resource takes a familiar administrative expression and returns attention to the human being concealed inside it.
The title deliberately shifts between person and function, individuality and usefulness. Rather than resolving that tension, the work leaves the figure caught inside the language we use to organise, value and classify one another.
